The Biology Department at Eastern Washington University offers one graduate degree, the Master of Science in Biology. This program provides a demanding and rewarding experience in biology leading to competent scholarship and research capability. The department emphasizes research as a basic and necessary component of graduate study. A variety of research specialties are available within the department, including limnology, physiology, fisheries biology, parasitology, wildlife biology, genetics, botany, microbiology, and biotechnology, to name a few.

Applicants to a graduate studies program are strongly advised to browse the "Faculty Research Interests" list to find a faculty member with similar reseach interests to their own research. Since this program is research based students must find a faculty member to advise them/take them on.
