Our department is friendly and attentive to students' needs, and it is easy to get acquainted with other students, staff, and faculty. The department encourages collaboration among students and faculty in technology-transfer development and research. One can pursue the study of computer science in a collegial environment.

The faculty of the department are committed to creating an educational environment that will facilitate the development of responsible professionals who can function effectively in a constantly changing society.

Graduates of Eastern's computing sciences programs are well known for their broad-based professional education. Not only are they recognized for their technical competence, but their professional education has provided a sound base for performing other services related to technical professions in research, industry, and education. Graduates are exceptionally well skilled in oral and written communication and are known for their ability to function effectively in interdisciplinary and collaborative settings.
